Finalists Announced for the 2025 Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize

The Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre and the Australian Photographic Society are pleased to announce the finalists for the 2025 Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize (MCPP).

This year’s finalists represent a broad spectrum of conceptual photographic practice from across Australia, responding to contemporary ideas through thoughtful, original and visually compelling work. The MCPP is open to photo-based artists working in any style or process, provided the work demonstrates a strong conceptual underpinning.

The 2025 winner will receive a $30,000 acquisitive award, with the winning work to be acquired into the Muswellbrook Shire Art Collection. Finalists were selected by Antares Wells, Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, who will also determine the overall winner.

The 2025 finalist exhibition will be held at the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre from 14 Aug – 11 Oct 2025 with the official launch and winner announcement taking place on Saturday 23 August 2025.

In addition to the physical exhibition, a dedicated online gallery showcasing all finalist works is now live at: https://www.artgalleria.com/view-room/42357
